Creating a good climate for learning is keeping all students actively involved in the learning task. To achieve this fact we have changed the classroom organisation: using a U distribution that provides a warmer climate. It works because they have their own space while they are very near, and also they can enjoy an eye-contact with all their mates. This is fine for the speaking task, sharing stories and participating actively, because their attention is focused on the class middle point. In these days we’ve checked that students are more actively participating in discussions and the amount of time that it takes students to complete tasks has lowered by four to five minutes, which is a big deal; they show more concentration and they have more fun.
To make it easier, they have a letter in each table. They have to order them and make a sentence; if they don’t do it properly appears written a non-sense sentence in the U distribution.

Crear
un bon clima d’aprenentatge és motivar els alumnes en la tasca d’aprendre. Per
aconseguir-ho hem fet un canvi en l’organització de l’aula: fent ús de la
distribució de les taules en forma d’ U, que facilita crear un clima càlid. Els
permet, a més, tenir el seu propi espai alhora que segueixen els uns a prop
dels altres, i gaudint d’un contacte visual amb tots els companys. És una opció
genial per als moments d’expressió oral i participació en activitats grupals,
ja que l’atenció està centrada al centre de l’aula.
Durant
aquests dies, ho estem posant en pràctica, i hem pogut comprovar que els
alumnes triguen molt menys en realitzar les tasques, estan concentrats i a més
gaudeixen molt més dels aprenentatges.
Per
facilitar la col·locació de taules i puguin realitzar-la de manera autònoma, cada
taula conté una lletra que col·locada en el correcte ordre, forma una frase
quan les taules estan posicionades en forma d’U.
